Glenn Budden brings a wealth of experience to RFCSNQ and he is currently supporting the other RFCSNQ Rural Financial Counsellors, servicing the north Queensland region in a mobile ‘at call’ capacity, specifically servicing those areas in high demand for Farm Household Assistance (FHA) and monsoonal trough needs. Glenn has lived his life on the land in the Chinchilla area, farming and grazing except for a period of 9 years when he worked in the banking industry. He returned to the family farm to manage it with his parents during the eighties and drought years of the nineties. When drought struck again in 1999, he took up a position as a Rural Financial Counsellor at Miles that covered the Western Downs region. The drought continued unabated through to 2010 before it broke.
With decades of experience, Glenn has been able to connect and help primary producers with financial issues and in sourcing financial assistance in times of need. He has also had experience with bank debt mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution as well as a wide range other skills. Glenn has completed Diplomas in Rural Business management, Agriculture and Financial Counselling and has a Cert IV in training and assessing, and mental health.
Glenn is based in Richmond and in conjunction with his RFC colleagues will ensure no part of North Queensland goes without a dedicated RFC to travel to and meet with clients.
Operators will benefit from contacting Glenn to help identify ways to become self-reliant in business and to better manage change and adjustment.
Glenn can work with you to develop options and support you during the decisions making process.
