About David

David has had a long association of over 20 years with the Rural Financial Counselling Service North Queensland (RFCSNQ), its predecessors, and the aligned Small Business Support North Queensland and Farm Business Planning North Queensland.

This association commenced when he became the CEO of the Central Western Queensland Remote Area Planning and Development Board (RAPAD) in 2003, a role he retired from at the end of 2025. Staying on to fill this Executive Officer role, he has guided the various programs, through their growth and changes.

From 2013 to June 2026, David was a director and chair of RESQ+, which delivers the Federal Governments Community Development Program across the Central West and South West. David was also the Deputy Chairman of the Central West Hospital and Health Service (CWHHS), chair of its executive committee, from its inception in 2012 through to his resignation from that role in early 2026.

He was also a long-standing member of Regional Development Australia, Central and Western Qld from 2015 to 2025. These resignations from these various roles reflects a stage of transition for David, however he continues to devote his time and passion exclusively towards the counselling, wellbeing coaching and farm business resilience planning programs

David, having been a CEO, manager, company director of both, for-profit and not-for-profit entities, brings leadership, commercial acumen, finance and governance skills into his Executive Officer role.
